|Hello and welcome to our fall weather changes!|
|Many people claim that Florida doesn’t really have seasons. Being from Minnesota originally I can understand that sentiment. But after living here for many years, I appreciate the existence and subtlety of our Florida seasons. Isn’t it great! This week is supposed to be spectacular. Thank you, thank you, thank you.|
There are a couple changes I’m mulling over for BuyFarmFood.com, and I wonder what you might think of them.
I want to provide a box that is basically staples, while still retaining the possibility of surprise, and I want to streamline ordering. So these could be the choices.
1. A $15 dollar box that has the basic vegetables and fruit mixed. Really the same as the singles/couples box offered now, but with more predictability. Greens, tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes, green beans, cucumbers, apples, another fruit, perhaps a cantaloupe, plums or other items that may be in season.
2. A $15 dollar vegetable box that has the basic vegetables as above, but could also contains squash, okra, eggplant, beets, and other off-the-beaten-path vegetable surprises that are seasonal.
3. And the third choice would be a $15 dollar box of fruit. Grapes, cherries, plums, apples, oranges, lemons, limes, berries, pears, etc.
A family could order two singles boxes if they want basic staples, or choose a box each of the vegetable and fruit box to get more variety and surprises.
So what do you think? I’d really like your feedback.
