|HAPPY THANKSGIVING! WE’LL BE OPEN FOR PICKUP AT ALL LOCATIONS THANKSGIVING WEEK!|
|We wouldn’t miss the chance to provide some of the food for your thanksgiving meal! |
I have much to be thankful for personally, and professionally. On the BuyFarmFood.com side of the ledger, my first thoughts of course go to you. You are the one that makes the donations, you are the one that continues to buy and enjoy the food we provide, and you are the one that tells other people about us and helps us continue and grow. As a special thank you, I’ll be providing a delicious gift in all the boxes this thanksgiving week. I hope you enjoy it. 🙂
The following is a preview of the thanksgiving box contents.
In the mixed box, my plan is to provide regular potatoes for mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, carrots, butternut squash, a leafy green, fresh cranberries to make a homemade cranberry sauce (it is easy to make), apples, pears, and other goodies. I’ll most likely have less items and more of each item so you have plenty of each to make a generous portion with.
The veggie box will include sweet potatoes for a sweet potato casserole, broccoli, maybe some asparagus or brussels sprouts, perhaps something else, and all the veggies above.
For the fruit box, along with regular Items we’ve been having, I plan get pineapples and grapes again, dates, which we haven’t had in quite a while, Florida oranges or tangerines, and a berry. Florida strawberries are being harvested now, so I’ll do everything I can to get you some!
I look forward to you using the food to help make your delicious thanksgiving meal!
In closing, I’ll say thank you again, and please donate if you can. If you’ve heard on the radio and TV this week, there is a huge drive going on for thanksgiving donations. The need due to Covid for help in our community is 10 times what it has been. Over 25,000 families need help. I’m proud to say that together, you and BuyFarmFood.com, has made a huge difference in the lives of families that need help this year. We’ve donated about 300,000 servings of fruits and vegetables!!! Let’s do what we can this week to provide fresh food for their thanksgiving meals.
